Darren Olson
Darren Olson is a partner at Surge Development Group and has over 15 years of experience in the commercial construction industry. He graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Architectural Engineering and began his career at Austin Commercial, where he spent 11 years in various roles such as Project Engineer and Senior Estimator. During this time, Darren worked on a wide range of projects including office buildings, aviation facilities, sports stadiums, senior living communities, and mixed-use developments in Texas and California.
After his tenure at Austin Commercial, Darren worked at Howard Hughes Corp for 2 years where he worked on master plan communities, with a focus on multifamily, office, and retail projects across the country. He then joined Provident General Contractors as a Preconstruction Manager for multifamily projects in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.
Darren joined Surge in 2022 and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team. In his free time, he enjoys watching all Longhorn sports, racing cars, and traveling with his wife.
Rocky Williams
Rocky Williams is an accomplished construction manager and cost consultant. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Southern Methodist University. His expertise in financial analysis and decision-making has proven invaluable in the commercial real estate development industry.
In 2006, Rocky joined MBC Consultants and quickly began overseeing a diverse range of projects that included mixed-use developments, multifamily construction, Class A office buildings, large format retail and Circuit of the Americas racetrack.
As an owner’s rep, Rocky successfully manages budgetary concerns, facilitates clear communication between all parties involved, and effectively addresses any issues that arise during the construction process. His approach helps ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.
Rocky founded Surge Development Group in 2017. Under his leadership the company has consistently delivered high-quality results and commitment to integrity for clients.
Rocky resides in Frisco with his wife and son. He enjoys golf and spending time with family and friends
